A veteran artist that offers up some of the best Country Music for the last 30 years is definitely gonna put out some unforgettable tunes. Richard Lynch, an Independent Country Music Hall of Fame artist, hits home with his digital-age themed single “Cut & Paste”.

This is definitely a witty and clever story-telling ballad, accompanied by a very interesting and at times humorous music video that parallels perfectly with the song. In fact, the video and the low-key charm it brings absolutely adds to this song’s overall impact and follows the lyrical content almost frame-by-frame. It’s hypnotizing completely.

“Cut & Paste” is a ballad all about heartbreak and missing your lady…with a digital twist. In the past we’ve heard country songs about being hung up on, not showing up to a date, or not coming home. But, this one is approached with all modern edge technology. In this day and age we get deleted on Facebook, we don’t get texted back, no return email, no thumbs up on our latest Facebook pic, and perhaps most devastating…a change in relationship status.

That’s what this song hits home with, and whether it was intended to be humorous or not, it’s almost impossible to avoid. Because one thing that’s always been charming about country is the honesty it portrays. And this concept is definitely relatable, yet debatable at the same time. But, like it or not, it’s something that happens every day in this era. Try to think of the last time someone broke up with you in person…yeah, I can’t remember a time either.
And that’s what makes “Cut & Paste” the gem that it is. The concept of a new school method performed by a veteran artist. This song’s catchiness is unstoppable, and Richard Lynch‘s authenticity is one of his biggest defining factors. As well as his legacy in country music. You’ll absolutely adore this song’s production value, and it’ll definitely turn you into a Richard Lynch fan immediately.

A sumptuous, full sound and contemporary country charm emphasize well-penned themes of love sung by country up-and-comer Richard Lynch. “Mending Fences” is Lynch’s third project in four years, and the title cut reminds us that “love is like an old fence row, as time goes by there’ll be some holes.” “Back in Love Again,” a duet with Rhonda Vincent, is definitely an album highlight, and I’d like to hear more duets on future Lynch albums. To hear a song from the singer’s own pen, check out the rocking opener “Daddy’s Words.” He also draws material from other well-established Nashville songwriters such as JK Nick Nichols who contributed four songs like the radio single “Cut and Paste” and “In Over My Heart.” “Things You Shouldn’t Do” is a beautiful ballad that makes a poignant statement about how to deal with temptation. Looking for something classic? Lynch’s take on “Knock Three Times” nostalgically takes us back. Lynch states that the album is also a testament to the holes in real country music that he’s trying to fill. “Country Music Isn’t Country Anymore” is another interpretation on what’s becoming a rather common theme, and I enjoyed the many references to classic country artists and their songs in this new retelling of an old story. But the bottomline is that mainstream country should really like it. (Joe Ross, Roots Music Report)

April1, 2017 - The Digital Journal;

Country singer Richard Lynch is back with his new radio single "Cut and Paste," which has a traditional country vibe to it.
His vocals on "Cut and Paste" are reminiscent of early Alan Jackson music from the 90's. It is a song that holds true about the modern society that we are living in, and how everything is done electronically (e-mail or iPhone messages). In a way, it is the male response to Miranda Lambert's "Automatic," and Lynch makes it work.

"Cut and Paste" is a track from his brand new studio album, Mending Fences, which comes out today, on April 1, via his independent record label, Fence Row Records. The song was penned by JR Nick Nichols.His new CD was produced by Edgel Groves and Randall Griffith. It was recorded at Long Hollow Sound Studios/ Harrison Entertainment Group in Gallatin, Tennessee by Shea Henley and Michael Walter. Most impressive about the album is that it features a duet with Grammy-nominated bluegrass darling Rhonda Vincent.The VerdictOverall, Richard Lynch's new single Cut and Paste" garners an A rating. It is worth more than just a passing glance, and it is recommended for fans and listeners that enjoy pure country music.

BIO:

You’d be hard-pressed to find a musician as authentic as Richard Lynch, whose traditional country music fully embodies his hay-raising, farm-dwelling lifestyle. An all-American, blue collar country man, Lynch has poured his heart and soul into the countless chart-topping hits he and his band have produced. His music is 100% real country, evoking some of the great classics who influenced him, like Keith Whitley. Conway Twitty, and George Strait. For three decades and counting, Lynch has written, sung, and performed his songs with passion and dedication, building himself up into an independent country music sensation. While his musical roots are grounded in pure country, his songs also showcase elements of western swing, rockabilly and outlaw country.

Living the life he sings about is what gives Richard Lynch the edge as a singer/songwriter. Richard is a hard working, personification of pure country. He is a designer and builder of amazing barns, and as should be expected, he is an American farmer. His everyday life and paying his musical dues by performing at 100's of events & shows a year, all across the country, is that which shaped him into a one-of-a-kind performer. Richard's style is true and it carries into his live shows. Much like his music alone, a live performance of the Richard Lynch Band is something you feel. It's something you carry with you when you walk away. If country music is a gift that sustains in our lives wherever we go, Richard Lynch is the messenger.

Lynch, based in Waynesville, Ohio, released his first full-length album, The Last of A Dying Breed, in 2013, and was nominated as Best Male Country Artist by the Independent Country Music Association in 2014. His most recent album is, a 12-track production that garnered critical acclaim, particularly for its first single and title track “ A Better Place”. The Lynch album was named the Pure Country Album of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists, while Lynch was declared Humanitarian of the Year, and his band named the Traditional Country Band of the Year at the 2015 Josie Awards. A Better Place was produced by renowned songwriter Billy Yates, and features the work of several talented musicians who have previously worked with artists including Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, and Reba McEntire.

Recently Richard recorded a duet with country star Ronnie McDowell. The single, “Love Tattoo” is a moving tribute to our military veterans. The song is set to be released to the world in January, 2017. Currently, Richard is in the studio preparing his third studio album set to release in early 2017. Richard is also hosting his own radio show, “Traditionally Lynch” which airs weekly on Renegade Radio, Nashville.

Backed by a group of hand selected country musicians, the Richard Lynch Band performs a wide variety of music. Perfect for the true traditionalist longing for the emotions of three cords and the truth wrapped in the soul of a steel guitar or fans seeking hard driving honky tonk, a Richard Lynch performance will surely warm your country soul.
